Magnolia Stellata for your Home Gardens

Magnolia stellata, commonly called royal star Magnolia, is a small, deciduous shrub. It typically matures to 15-20’ tall with a slightly larger spread. It is especially noteworthy for its extremely compact size and dense, low-branching habit which gives it a shrubby appearance. Even when mature, it rarely exceeds 4-8’ tall as a hedge. It blooms in late winter to early spring before the leaves emerge.
