Difference Between European Beech Hedge and Hornbeam Hedge

European Beech Hedge (Fagus Sylvatica) and Hornbeam Hedge are the most common hedging plants used for landscaping purpose. People usually get confused between European beech and Hornbeam Hedge due to its leaf type and lush green color.

Foliage tone and appearance between the two is very comparative, however the beech will in general have a more pleasant fall show of yellow and orange than the hornbeam, which will in general be yellow-earthy colored or powerless chartreuse. There are purple and copper variations of the beech also, which are striking alone or blended.
